The software monitors both gauges and records the peak value for each gauge. These values are associated with a Subject ID and the data is identified by gauge so the researcher knows which value is for fore limb and which value is for hind limb. All data is exportable to Microsoft® Excel and/or stat packages.

A new adjustable grip has also been introduced for the Grip Strength System. The Adjustable Mesh grip can go from horizontal to a 45 degree angle. For single gauge systems this grip eliminates the need to change grips when switching from fore limb to hind limb testing. Simply loosen the adjustment screw(no tools required) and adjust the angle of the grip. For two gauge systems the angle can be adjusted to provide the researcher a good grip target while minimizing the upward motion of the subject. The mesh grips San Diego Instruments offer are superior to the older T-Bar and Triangle grips as they provides multiple bars for gripping.
