Learning Test SystemsFreeze MonitorCued and contextual fear conditioning for rats and mice SDI’s Freeze Monitor™ is a fully computerized system designed to study “freezing” behavior – the tendency for rodents to remain in a motionless, defensive posture after being shocked. The Freeze Monitor system is designed for both ‘cued’ and ‘contextual’ fear conditioning for rats and mice and offers simultaneous activity recording. The Freeze Monitor has been successfully used in studies of the psychophysiology and psychopharmacology of fear conditioning and for exploring the effects of analgesics and anxiolytics. Using commands that you enter into the ‘stimulus script file’, the Freeze Monitor administers a sequence of stimuli (sound, shock or light) in a sequence determined by the user and records a series of latencies that measure the recovery from shock-induced freezing.
