Animal Grip Strength System

Tests hind and forelimb grip strength according to the Meyer Method*

The SDI Grip Strength System measures hind limb and fore limb grip strength in both rats and mice according to the Meyer Method. One or two force gauges are supported by the standard unit along with a choice of a triangular, T-shaped, mesh, or 45 degree mesh grip. Gauge mountings and the animal chamber are adjustable. The white acrylic platform is easy to disassemble for cleaning.

One grip is included with the Grip Strength System. A full system includes the platform, a gauge and a grip. You can purchase the SDI Animal Grip Strength system with a PC interface for digital data recording or without if you prefer to manually record your research data.

The grip styles include Front Mesh for either rats or mice, Rear Mesh for rats or mice, Triangle and T-Bar. Gauges are available in different types (U.S., UK and EU) and in different sizes (2 lb., 10 lb., 1 kilo and 5 kilo).
